Alternate program to view video on double click ?

Hi,

Is there a way to open a video file with its alternate program with double click. I just found a way to do this by pressing F3.

Doesn't the word "alternate" by its very nature suggest that it's not the default, and since the default is double-click ....

But to move from philosophy to practical help:
1) Try Options > Keyboard/Mouse > Open Action, then for video files choose "Open in associated program"
2) Then right-click a video file and assign an associate program with "Open with - Add Program"
