Hi,
iam using Windows 8 x64. Settings are stored in ini. ini folder has full rights.
1. settings -> database: i disabled thumbnail caching, yet in the cache maintenance section below the viewed folders are listed. i want to be able to disable that list entirely. (or having an option that resets that list on restart.)
2. main menu -> view -> show titles of panes: i unchecked showing titles of panes. it works on the folder-tree pane but the title on the preview window gets restored on restart.

In the same window you can press 'Delete All' to clear the cache.1. settings -> database: i disabled thumbnail caching, yet in the cache maintenance section below the viewed folders are listed. i want to be able to disable that list entirely. (or having an option that resets that list on restart.)
Alternatively you can use the 'Optimize...' button in order to remove the unwanted 'baggage' which is added there during the usage (the orphaned files, thumbnails, entries without ratings/colors etc.).
If the preview window is undocked, then the title must be present in order to have the window resizable and movable. It is the way in which Aero (Windows' window manager) works. If you just want a fixed, full-screen window you can use the 'Full Screen' command (F11) which you can also put on the 2ndary monitor.menu -> view -> show titles of panes: i unchecked showing titles of panes. it works on the folder-tree pane but the title on the preview window gets restored on restart.

Re: Cache Maintenance Folderlist and Preview Window Title
i know that i can delete that list manually. iam asking for that list not even to get generated since these are only empty entires anyway. it just lists the folders, the number of files that are in that folder and then size: 0 bytes on all entires.m.Th. wrote:

the preview window is not undock. it is below the thumbnails page. this feature works as intended. the pane title is disabled when the option is triggerd. the problem is that it is not saved upon restart.Skraluk wrote: If the preview window is undocked, then the title must be present in order to have the window resizable and movable.
