1.55 - wrong installer on Linux

Hello, I am a member of the "Mandriva" and "Rosa".
After installing the program XnConvert 1.55 " Linux RPM 32 bit " -> http://download.xnview.com/XnConvert.i386.rpm
The program is not available in the list in the menu.

The problem is that the file "xnconvert"'s not the right folder "sbin".

The correct location should look like this:

usr-> bin-> xnconvert

Proszę o dostarczenie dobrego instalatora "XnConvert 1.55" na Linux-a z rozszerzeniem RPM.

I use alien to convert .deb into .rpm, so perhaps it's the problem??

Hi, I passed a lot of time since my last visit. I am currently using version "XnConvert Version 1.65 - un*x (Aug 20 2014) - Libformat version 6.60"and the problem still occurs (There is). I think the problem lies in the file named "XnConvert.desktop" /usr/share/applications/XnConvert.desktop

1 - After the installation of the system at the original settings "menu style" program is not visible in the list of the programs menu.

2 - Changing the settings menu style not the original caused the program was visible in the list.

3 - Re back to the original menu settings, cause that XnConvert is not visible in the list.

4 - Relocation (substitution) file named "XnConvert.desktop" in the directory "opt" to /usr/share/applications/XnConvert.desktop - fixes the problem.
