Thank your for the offer, shall I send you a PM with my E-Mail-Adress? It would be great if you could give me a feedback on the questions I asked and explain me why the error occured and if my other pictures could be affected somehow (e.g. data written to wrong place in the file or so)!

That would be great pierre, thank you very much! Can you tell me what the problem was? I'm interested in that because I want to give a feedback to the gimp developers.
