Using MP I was looking for the old XnView function to create a new image from a series of existing images by placing them side-by-side horizontally or vertically. I then learned that this function is not ported yet. So I had to use the montage feature from imagemagick.
Montage (and other imagemagick functions) do much more than what XnView for Windows did - including frames, titles, arrays and so on.
But what montage (and all the other imagemagick functions) lack is a nice GUI such as MP provides.
Pierre, I have seen your comments on imagemagick here, so I know you prefer a different library.
But ... if XnView would provide a GUI to imagemagick, it'll serve two purposes: XnView users could access all the functionality too laborious to implement - and all those imagemagick users out there finally had a GUI.
Maybe worth thinking about ...
