RC5: issues viewing images with dual monitor setup

Post by schulze »

hi there,

now dual monitor support is working for me, I start playing with it and found some issues.

i open a folder in the xnview browser and start fullscreenview on my secondary display. now i use the "page up/down" keys to cycle trough the pictures >> works perfectly.
if i switch folders to view another photoset (still fullscreen on secondary display) and try to use "page up/down" keys it won't cycle trough the images correctly. same happens when i use the mouse to select a picture an want to "page up/down" from this pic.

beside that i get a minor graphical corruption in the folder-tree-view, while doing fullscreenview on my secondary display (a grey bar in the first line).

i hope it's not too confusing 8)

the display corruption is gone now.

but let me explain the other issue again (it's not fixed yet):
i open an image fullscreen on my secondary display and use the PAGE UP/PAGE DOWN keys to cycle forward/backward through the entire folder.
i use the mouse now to change into another folder, select the first image and try to cycle again with the PAGE UP/PAGE DOWN keys but it won't select the second image in the folder but the last one down the column.
image you have 36 pictures in this folder 6 columns and 6 rows and because of this you cannot click picture 1, press PAGE DOWN and get to pic2 because it will jump to pic31.

if you select the picture in your browser, click on the fullscreen pic and try to cycle it's working fine.

Ok, i understand, because after selecting a new folder, the focus is in browser, and not in fullscreen view...
So the problem is must i refocus to fullscreen or use always PgUp/PgDown as in fullscreen view???

i thought some time about this and i would like to cycle forward/backward with PgUp/PgDown keys in both browser and fullscreen.

but this could annoy other people who expect a different behaviour in browser. but switching the focus to fullscreen could spawn some new problems, ie when using the arrow-keys to navigate pics in the browser (am i right?).

i could even get used to it the way it is now.
it's up to you.
