RC6: Missing old behaviour
i'm missing the old xnview behaviour. i want browser <> fullscreen together with doubleclick to go to browser with option "start view in fullscreen" enabled. it's really annoying to get used to middle-click or enter when viewing file from windows explorer...

that's what i mean: i want doubleclick from browser to get to fullscreen and back. that's ok with the first option in settings "browser <> fullscreen, viewer <> fullscreen". but then, when i view file from windows explorer i have to use another method to get to browser as doubleclick doesn't work (i'll get to viewer)

With the settings proposed above XnView 1.80 will behave like XnView 1.74. If you experience differences, please let use know in detail what you exactly want.ali wrote:less functional. i liked the old way xnview worked (like acdsee, for example). i hope this will get better in future versions (it seems so). i think people got used to this behaviour and are expecting it.

ACDSee, IIRC, uses double-click to switch between browser and viewer, middle-click to switch between windowed and fullscreen viewer, *and remembers the state in which the viewer exits*
For example: browser --> windowed viewer --> fullscreen viewer --> browser --> fullscreen viewer
It's simpler that in the current XnView, but less efficient IMO. XnView switches to viewer with only either one double click or one middle click, whereas ACDSee may need one double click and then one middle-click to get to the desired view.

i don't get it. maybe i do something wrong...
let me explain it one more time. with old, 1.74 xnview i could use just one left double-click for:
1) switching between browser and fullscreen (<>)
2) switching to browser after viewing associated file from windows explorer (with option "start view in fullscreen" enabled)
it was fast, without delays and necessity to go through viewer. but now with xnview 1.80, it's not that simple. you can't use just left double-click. both settings 'browser > viewer > fullscreen' or 'browser > fullscreen > viewer' are useless from this point of view. i like the new "lite" fullscreen mode as it's really fast but i miss this old "feature"

this is true standard for leading image viewers. acdsee, faststone image viewer, zone explorer, cam2pc, ulead...
open picture from windows explorer and you'll get fullscreen, double click and you're in browser. then double click again and you're in fullscreen, do that thing again and you're in browser. simple... the magic is you have to use just one mouse button. it's comfortable. average user expects this behavior. xnview could do this to version 1.74. but the new 1.80 "series" are really bad. i don't get it. it's confusing and slow, impractical. please take it back. make an option.
