Any issues known with file-associations?
I repeatedly tried following:
a. Associate files with XnViewMP.exe from within the XnViewMP folder (using: Associate files with XnViewMP.exe)
b. Tools->Settings->Integration->Run the file associations tool
c. Directory Opus, right click on a jpg file, properties, change->Open with: there Windows Photo Viewer is selected
change into XnViewMP+OK+close. However, when repeating the above, the change has not taken place, i.e. Windows Photo Viewer is 're'-selected again,
from XnViewMP back to Windows Photo Viewer again.
d. In the open with panel, I select 'Browse' - C:\Program Files is opened, I browse to F:\XnViewMP x64 where I installed XnViewMP and select
XnView.exe there (note, I would expect XnViewMP.exe, but there is no XnViewMP). That changes does not hold either.
I then went on to re-install XnViewMP over the existing installation (without uninstalling) and tried all the above a few times again. No luck.
As a last option - I might totally re-install XnViewMP, but then I have to go thru all the settings again.
Obviously that is when there is no other option.
(I think there isn't)
Any suggestions?
Windows 7 x64, XnViewMP x64 v0.64
Thanks

when launching:
Windows Explorer will launch XnView : okay
Directory Opus (v10.5.4.0 x64) will launch its internal viewer, for BOTH png and jpg.

In Directory Opus I had to either untag:
Preferences->Double Click on Files->
[_] Use internal picture viewer for : [All recognized pictures]
or
[X] Use internal picture viewer for: [Unregistered picture file types] <-Select this
