How to Batch Process to add Category and Rating

Post by pintree3 »

I wanted to add a category to my photos but noticed that it seems to be able to be done only one at a time. Is there anyway to do this in a batch? For ex. select 25 photos and categorize then as 'nature' or do the same thing and rate them as 3 stars?
Thank you

Select your files, and change the rating or add a category...

HI thanks for your help. If you noticed you told me WHAT to do (which I already know) but not HOW to do it. If I choose an amount of files I can not see anywhere how to do so--'Batch Processing' doesn't seem to have such an option, neither does 'Tools' nor 'Edit'

Don't use batch convert, only change the Rating or click on category

You can add a rating or colour label to a series of images by selecting them in the file browser and then Right clicking on one of the selected images and selecting 'Rating and Colour label' from the context menu.

You can view Categories by clicking on the marked icon on the toolbar in this screenshot:

You can create a new category or rename an existing categorey by Right clicking on one of the existing categories displayed.

I haven't worked out how to assign a category to a series of selected images -- please note that I don't use these browser features myself but no-one who does has posted yet...
