MP 0.64 does not start under Mavericks

Dear fellow users,

I installed MP 0.61 under OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard (or whichever animal it was) -- worked fine.
Then I upgraded to Mavericks and had the old installation still on -- worked fine.
Just got the message on MP 0.64 availability, quickly loaded update and ... FAILED MISSERABLY.

Error message: "XnViewMP.app cannot be opened since developer not certified" (my translation, original German error message reads: „XnViewMP.app“ kann nicht geöffnet werden, da es von einem nicht verifizierten Entwickler stammt").

Any idea what might help ? Unfortunately I overwrote the old version ...

UPDATE: by chance found solution in Security Settings ... Sorry for bothering ...

I have the same problem, but can't figure out the solution you seem to have found in Security Settings. Can you tell me how you fixed it?
