Hi, i'm using XnView since a quite long time, I appreciated your work and iked it a lot, previously on Windows 7 and now that i switched to Ubuntu I'm running XnViewMP 0.68 on Ubuntu 14.04.
The main problem is the program random crashes every now and then with no apparent reason.
another thing that's annoyng is that if i run it from terminal WITHOUT sudo permission, I can't delete images by pressing canc: the windows asking somethin like "you really want to delete?" appears, I press yess, but when I return to catalogator/reopen the program/check the file throu nautilus they are still there, uncancelled.
No problem deleting files if i run in a terminal "sudo xnview", but with sudo xxnview open with a different layout, less classy and uglier.
Hope you could understand

yes, mainly when in browser modexnview wrote: when using browser?
yes, i'm the only user and administrator account. although, if this can help, most of the image files are on a different disk partition (which is correctly mounted on startup)xnview wrote: and files are own by the current user account?
Re: frequent crashes and delete problems
1. The program shows a message or something else before it dies or just disappears?
2. Perhaps you have another process (antivirus?) which locks (or do anything else with) the files?

Re: frequent crashes and delete problems
...another questions:
3. What XnView MP do you have? 32bit or 64bit?
4. How many files do you 'see' in the Browser pane at once when it crashes? 10? 100? 500? 1000?
5. Can you monitor the memory consumption of the process?
