Check for updates not working XnView for Windows

I am using Windows Firewall, but even if I switch it off Check for Update still doesn't work.

Sorry, jis. I'm not a Windows 8 user and can't think of any other cause for this problem

I just updated to Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center from my Windows 8 Pro with Media Center through Windows Store. One of things which I checked after update was the "check for update" function in XNview. And guess what: It does work now.

So I know that it works for me before clean install Windows 8 and after updating from Windows 8 to 8.1, but not in Window 8. Strange, but true.
