.68 doesn't keep settings in Kubuntu
I'm using XnViewMP 0.68 on Kubuntu 14.04. I have several settings that only hold while XnView remains open, but not after a restart. 1) When I customize the toolbar, it holds for the current session only, 2) when I select a favorite folder, it holds for the current session only, yet it is listed in the bookmarks.ini file and 3) I tried to swap the left mouse button so that it moves the picture and the right mouse button so that it selects, but nothing changes. I've even tried to change that in the .ini file, but no results.

Re: .68 doesn't keep settings in Kubuntu
It's stored in /home/.xnviewmp/
the .ini file has read and write permission for owner and group which I asume that I am since I installed Linux and all the programs and I am the only one set to use this machine.

Re: .68 doesn't keep settings in Kubuntu
The layout setting does work and certain others do. I had turned off save history and that works. I see that Kubuntu has a folder /opt/xnview/ but the ini file is in a hidden folder under /home/mike/.xnviewmp/ Maybe there's another folder someplace else with another ini file that it's using?

Re: .68 doesn't keep settings in Kubuntu
there is apparently some problem with where the program had asked me to save the ini file and database files because when I changed it back to save it in the "system folder" I did get the favorite to work. I'm reinstalling it on a fresh Kubuntu 14.04 and will leave those setting as they are when the program starts this time and will see what happens. That's for your help.
