[SOLVED] No symbols in right click menu under Xubuntu

Thank you Pierre for your answer that helped me to search myself.

First I have to add that the missing icons are not only the case for the right click menu but for all menus.

Well, I searched the net this evening and finally found out, that there is a bug in XFCE.

Fortunately it is easy to fix, I post it here for others who might stumble over the same problem.

In a terminal execute the two following commands:

gconftool-2 --type boolean --set /desktop/gnome/interface/buttons_have_icons true
gconftool-2 --type boolean --set /desktop/gnome/interface/menus_have_icons true

Open XnView and - voilà !
