Why the column headers in the Input view?

Across the top of the input view is a set of column headers, as if this were a "detail" list view of files.

But I can't get to such a view, and the headers make no sense at all in the default thumbnail view.

Am I missing something? How do you switch to "detail" view?

And if you can't, a few suggestions (particularly since there's no help file!)
- At least add a mouseover on the headers saying they are inactive for now
- Consider removing the headers until they have a purpose
