Hello,
I have an image that contains IPTC tags DateCreated and TimeCreated.
When I open window "Edit IPTC-IIM/XMP" for this file the value of TimeCreated is not read by XnViewMP 0.68.
In tab "Date/Time" time-value is displayed as 00:00:00. (Date and other tags have been read properly.)
Maybe this happens because TimeCreated always has also a timezone value.
The problem for me is as follows:
In case of adding e.g. only a new keyword - without any other changes - the value of IPTC tag TimeCreated is set to 00:00:00.
This happens because nobody will check whether XnViewMP has read existing tags correct.
Thanks for a correction in advance.
Best regards
Herb

Re: 0.68: Problem with IPTC Time
Hello,
and I have an additional question to IPTC tag TimeCreated.
Is it ok, that XnViewMP does not write a timezone value? As far as I know is it mandatory in IPTC standard.
Is the timezone field missing in window "Edit IPTC-IIM/XMP"?
Best regards

Re: 0.68: Problem with IPTC Time
Hello Pierre,
please find the image attached. I found this (specific) file in Exiftool forum (managed by Phil Harvey).
Please be also aware that this file contains 2 IPTC metadata instances (as I have seen in the meantime). I have also seen that XnViewMP does only work with one IPTC metadata instance.
Thanks for your investigations and best regards
