Send by email default program

Hi there,
One stupid question. Some time ago I used XNView for Windows and I could to email images by external mail program (Thunderbird).
Now I use MacOS version of XnView MP and can't send by Apple Mail app. There is no "Use default mail client" option in sending dialog, only SMTP.
Is it possible to use external mail program for sending?

currently only on windows...
