Are there modifications on video outputs

Post by ManfredM »

I am using XnViewMP version 0.68 and use it to show snippets of film. But it seems that the video player behind XnViewMP make some modifications or optimizations on the output.

The effect is, that after the first inital pictures of the video, it becomes darker and a higher contrast. This effect seems to be indepentdent of the video format. I used divx and wmv and compare brightness and contrast with the output of GOM-Player 2.1.43 and of MAGIX Video deluxe 2013 plus.

I found the reason today. XnView used the Integrated Graphic of the Notebook, instead of the NVIDIA graphic card. After forcing the usage of the NVIDIA graphic card for XnView in the NVIDIA system control the effect is off.
