Hi, I hope to lock the position & scale especially when I want to compare large scale images.
There's such feature in FSViewer. But I prefer XnView now because of its performance.
So is there any way to keep the image position when I switch to the next image?
For example, if I'm examining (232,434) of current image (size: 1280*800), then I hope to locate (232,434) as well when I click "next file".
Thanks.

Do you have tried to uncheck Option/View>Reset X/Y
Pierre.

Yes. But it seems that the next image will be put in the center no matter where the current image is.xnview wrote:Do you have tried to uncheck Option/View>Reset X/Y

If you use 'Lock zoom', the position will be locked too

Thanks! It works now.xnview wrote:If you use 'Lock zoom', the position will be locked too
I thought there was an option 'Lock zoom'. Finally I get this from context menu.

Activating/Deactivating lock zoom there is menu item 'View > Lock zoom', the context menu 'Lock zoom' or the short cut Ctrl + NumPad /.ufoym wrote:... I thought there was an option 'Lock zoom'. Finally I get this from context menu.
Re: How to lock the position of viewer while switching image
Unfortunately "Option/View>Reset X/Y" is not available when Zoom is set to "Fit to desktop" which is a pity. I understand that this mode makes the size of the window change but it always jumps back to the center of the desktop. I wish it was top-left instead - leaving some room for other windows.
Any chance to get this behaviour?
Kind regards

I must have missed something, it does not work : with zoom locked at 100%, the next image is shown at the top left corner ...

I still do not understand how to have the zoom 100% working like in XnView, that is the X/Y position is the same when you change the viewed picture.
The setting "Reset X/Y (Not fit)" as no effect : checked or unchecked, when you switch pictures, you always see the top left corner of the image, no matter what portion of the previous image you were looking at.
