0.69 Filter category on folder not working

0.69 changelog reports category filter now possible on folders, with global/folder select on "match" drop-down....

this is a well needed feature!! exciting!

Only it does NOT work for me!

1. nav to folder F with category A applied to files.
2. Match > Folder
3. in categories filter select cat. A
4. browser result: blank, no thumbnails!
5. match > global
6. select cat. A
7. result: those files from folder F are shown in browser.

working for others??

Works here.

However are you sure that you are in the correct folder? (it should appear in the File toolbar)

In the usual GUI layout the Folders pane is not visible when one works in the Category Filter pane.

Thanks m.Th, I do have tooltips so I saw what categories are assigned in that folder!

then I hit Match > Folder, {a category assigned to files} and I get BLANK browser, no thumbs

It has also done "Global" search even when I select "Folder" - and that happened just after start up. I then change to another folder, hit Match > Folder > category and then get blank browser.

I tried removing my catalogue - just renamed its folder, and tried filtering categories in one folder- blank again.

any idea what's up??

when you click on thumbnails, category is checked?

Open XnViewmp for first time,
check folder got categories,
cat-filter > select Folder under Match (already is selected)
click on the category just found in tooltips
---->result, Global filter result (all files from the catalogue show in thumbnails)

Ah, this is because I didn't yet select a folder, Xnview opened at last used folder and then did a Global filter.

Select a folder
under Match > Folder
select category
---> thumbnails are blank

Now this is strange, in one folder, I can filter two categories,

but if I apply the category to some other images, they don't get filtered, it filters the first two files only.

this is getting close but why the disfunction??

and if you click on your files, categories are good??
