Do you plan to support the XMP Face standard ? (the MWG one, adopted by Picasa 3.9, not the previous XMP-MP from Microsoft). I am not speaking about face recognition into XnViewMP (that would be nice though) but only about a way to browse or search through these "person tags" in the same way we can browse or search through ordinary tag (i.e. keywords).
Please see below an example of these tags.
Regards.
Michel

Re: Request to support XMP Face standard
+1! This will very usefull function for XnView!
Re: Request to support XMP Face standard
I wonder if this could be take a step or two further, *by degree's* to also recognize standard objects, 'flower, tree, house, fence, grass, river, lake, ocean, beach, cat, dog, owl, eagle, chicken, iguana, cow, typography, t-shirt, cup, you get the idea I'm sure.
If we could have the basic found programmatically, that would go along way toward automating basic keyword entry and by definition an 'automated image database'. Since these are normally only for the big boys, you'd be providing a Great Service that only the very rich corps can normally afford. ( I hate corps, the 1% put em outa business guys!!
At the same token, and almost along the same functions would be colour sampling, ie, depending on the size of the photo take 15 or 20: at minimal 4 pixel colour sampling; These could be included then on each photo/illustration for cataloguing by colour and also for theming. I would love to have this feature, and have I believe most standardized color charts in my photoshop or illustrator I could loan you
