Allow hiding the navigation view

I like the idea of the navigation box in the corner of the image view, but I find it clutters my screen and I don't necessarily want it visible every time I view an image larger than the viewport. Can you add the ability to show/hide the navigation box?

The checkbox for Show Pan tool in Tools » Settings... » View » View has to be deactivated.
