zoom to top, focus open

Post by zbig »

Hi, I just migrated from XP to 7. I used Acdsee for really long time until after the migration, because unfortunately it's not working quite well in 7. After testing various image view software, I found that XnView is the best.

After using for a while I found that there're 2(or 4) things that I want to request from you.

1. I mainly use XnView to read comics, so I must always zoom the image to certain range to read it, but with the zoom focused on center, I always need to go to top first after zooming.

2. When the XnView window is open and I try to open another image, the XnView opens the image but still stays on background(not focused), the focus is still in the windows explorer window. (I use single instance for XnView)

These two are optional but will be nice to have.

3. In Acdsee I can keep holding up arrow and the next image will be instantly go to top, and while zooming also make it to the top. In XnView, everytime I hold the up arrow and press the zoom(+), the up arrow is reset and I need to keep pressing it(I cannot hold the up arrow)

4. When moving the image with mouse, can you make the small image not move instead of zooming it?

Thanks!

Oh no.. Sorry I posted in the wrong place, I'm using XnViewMP 0.72 x64, not the regular one. Can you move this thread there?
Thanks :)

I haven't tried the regular one because the it does not support unicode, does it behave differently there?

Yes, ... You can see the summary here, between the two versions:
Topic: "Compared to XnView" "Classic/Regular"
http://www.xnview.com/en/xnviewmp/

For 1: You can use "crtl+weel" to zoom in/out into a specific area (crtr+right to move)
For 2-3-4: Basically, into XnView, useful keys for the zoom are: "+" "-" "*" "/" (customized behavior into: Settings/interface/shortcuts - keyboard- mouse)

I mean, the features I asked above, are they already implemented in the classic? I'm already using XnViewMP by the way. I need to open some files with unicode files so I don't want to use the classic. If those features are already in the classic, they will be implemented in MP later right?

Ah sorry ... I'am not sure, but no, I don't think so (I mostly use the MP version now)
Maybe someone else can help you ? or you can try by yourself ...
