search filecount wrong

Post by CameronD »

MP versions x32 0.75 QT5 beta and x64, v0.72

Tools->search. Use catalog ticked, Recurse ticked.
Choose a starting folder where there are a few categorised files.
Add->category, and pick a category from the drop-down list.
If no files match then it will show a blank line above
"Searching...
Finished..."
Otherwise it will say "Files found (n)" and list the files.
However the value of n shown seems to be always 1 greater than the number of files found.

As well as fixing the count it would be better to give a specific message: "Files Found (0)" in the case where there are no files matching.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.75 or later. Could you please try and confirm the bug fix, CameronD?

The counting error is fixed.
The other aspect, of a better finish message, can be left for the newer thread, so you can mark this closed.
