cannot open .nrw (Nikon-RAW) files from Windows Explorer
I'm using the latest beta of XnViewMP, and in common I'm very happy, but: I own a Nikon P7700 (as a second camera) which can shoot RAW-files (.nrw), and I'm not able to open this files from Windows Explorer! When I right-click on a .nrw-file and set the default program to XnViewMP, then XnViewMP opens on a a doubleklick on a .nrw-file, but does neither change the folder to that folder where the .nrw-file resides, nor does show the .nrw-file! But: when I open a .nrw-file inside from XnViewMP I have no problem to see it - so XnViewMP does apperantly support this file-format, but there is no way to launch XnViewMP correct to show this files on doubleklicking in Windows Explorer! Is there a easy way to fix that problem? I think there are maybe some registry-settings for .nrw-files missing...
many thanks for helping out!

Re: cannot open .nrw (Nikon-RAW) files from Windows Explorer
sure. because .nrw-RAW-files are around 15MB in size when zipped I've uploded a sample-file on my webspace - you can download it here: http://www.kapounek.at/downloads/Wein-W ... o-1393.zipxnview wrote:could you send me a sample file?

Re: cannot open .nrw (Nikon-RAW) files from Windows Explorer
I've just tried that: does not make any difference! When I set XnViewMP as default-program for .nrw and I doubleclick on a the file which I provided to you (with removed space in the filename) XnViewMP does open, but is not in the folder where the file resides (but in the "last folder") and does not show the file...xnview wrote:if you remove the space, is it working?

Re: cannot open .nrw (Nikon-RAW) files from Windows Explorer
what I forgot to mention: it's the same behaviour as described on my laptop and my desktop, both Windows 8.1 64bit english - so it's not a problem of a single installation...xnview wrote:gekap wrote:strange, when i double click on this file, XnViewMP open it correctly

Re: cannot open .nrw (Nikon-RAW) files from Windows Explorer
is there maybe a problem with Windows 8.1? When I choose "settings"/"systemintegration"/"file association" inside XnViewMP then the Windows dialog for setting file-associations opens as you can see in the screenshot attached - but .nrw is not in the list where I could choose filetypes...

Re: cannot open .nrw (Nikon-RAW) files from Windows Explorer
which value do you have for HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.nrw\OpenWithList?
