Edit IPTC/XMP disabled

Post by elfroggio »

Hi,

XnViewMP 0.72 on Ubuntu 14.04.

Edit IPTC/XMP is disabled. This is for all of my cameras: Canon 7DMk2, Canon 70D (.cr2: raw files) and Fuji X-M1 (.raf: raw files).

What am I missing?

Thanks

It would be great if PDF is also supported, its quite crucial in my case. and was my first and instant papercut.

Regarding using exiftool, I'm not sure what your take is, but It seems to me to be the most powerful tool out there to do the job. and it seems to me it is already being used to read data, so is the issue with using it to write data too that its a dirty wrapper?

Sorry but why write it back to the file itself?

What about storing the data in your XnView.db and the image xmp file. That would be ideal for me.

Thanks
