Batch Convert resize issue

Post by sjws1888 »

Hi

I am using XnViewMP on Widnows 7 64bit. I want to do a batch convert on the folder containing my photos where I create a copy copy of all photos, in a seperate folder in which I keep the same sub folder structure as the source photos, but where the photos are resized (I'm making smaller versions to copy to my phone).

The issue I am having is that the process is generally working - sub folders are created and copies of most of the photos are made at the new, smaller size, however out of approximately 30,000 photos, a handful of pictures won't copy. During the batch convert process I see an error message which states that the file already exists. Oddly the error message does not seem to get the file name correct. I'll upload a screen shot of showing the error. In the screen shot you can see that it is trying to conver a file called:
lying in ••• SPAM •••.jpg

However the error message says that there is already a file in the destination folder called .jpg
This seems odd because the settings for the batch convert job a set to create the converted files with the same names as the original files (which is what is had done for most of the files. I've had this error for roughly 20 or so files out of 30,000. I cant see anything that the files that failed have in common - they are in different folder, taken on different cameras.

If there is any other information I can supply please let me know - thanks for any help
