newbie convert question

Post by gingerbones »

Hi
I've just started using this software and come across a problem that I can't figure out how to do
so wondered if someone can offer any advice on if this is possible.

I am trying to reduce the image quality of several hundred textures from 2048 down to 1024 and have managed to achieve this without to much trouble within the actions section
but my big problem is that the files that are requiring reduced all have the same file name although the textures are in different folders
Is it possible to convert these files but retain the file structure that they are in.
ie root folder then folder 1 folder 2 folder 3 folder 4 then in each of those folders I have a texture file with the same name texture a
these all have 2048pixels that required being reduced to 1024
Every time I try converting these files they all overwrite each other as they all show in the same folder

In XnConvert or XnViewMP's Tools > Batch convert... there is an option on the Output tab to 'Keep folder structure'...

Have you tried that, or does it not produce the result you need?
