pdf to tif?

Hi,

I looking to convert multipage pdf's into single page tifs using a command line in MS-DOS. Am I able to do this with xnview or nconvert?

Also, I loaded xnview classic and ghostscript 32 bit and 64 bit (both) for windows.

I am unable to open a pdf in xnview. Not even the "XnView (Windows) User Guide.pdf" itself? I get a warning: Format of the file <XnView (Windows) User Guide.pdf> could not be determined. For displaying of less common formats, the following option is available: Options>General>[x]Display all image file types. But that option is already checked off by default.

How do I open a pdf in xnview and since i'm here, what direction do I take to convert the pdf to a tif in the commandline?

you need nconvert. Else you need to install ghostscript x32

You should be able to open PDFs using XnView 'Classic' with Ghostscript x32 installed, if you haven't already done so could you try alternative known-good PDF files first, as sometimes PDF files can become corrupted?

You don't have Unicode symbols in the file name, do you? If so you need XnViewMP (still in beta) or XnConvert.

When you suceed in opening a file, you may well need to increase the DPI value used from the GS default of 72, setting in Tools > Options... > Read/Write.

You can do that in XnView 'Classic' using Tools > Multipage file > Extract all or >Extract all into...

what direction do I take to convert the pdf to a tif in the commandline?
