XnView-How do You Install It?

Post by Gene »

Good Evening,
Downloaded the full version of XnView for Windows (all plug-in's and all languages) and extracted all files this morning. Which is the installation file to use, if there is one? Nothing I have tried thus far has that action.
Another question: I will not use most of the language packs, can I simply go to the appropriate XnView sub-folder and delete those without harm to subsequent program operation? Same question applies to plug-in's which I may later find to be unneeded?

Hi, you don't need to install anything from the *zip* version, just unzip and enjoy =)

Yes. I believe you can even delete the whole 'language' folder if you plan not to use any but English.

I think so.

Hello Gene,

welcome in the XnView forum.

I guess you have 1.74 version. Please download new version (1.80) here (Windows).

You can download "Minimal version" (Setup) and "Plugins v1.80 Setup".

I'm not sure if you can remove plugins, try to backup "Plugins" folder and then remove files in original folder...
