Thanks for the reply,

I can't get any search to work. I've tried *.*, *.jpg, .jpg, *ico, *.ico, .ico. Alone and in combinations. If their is a trick to get it to search the entire computer and show all files of a type that would help. Or even better multiple file types from multipul hard drives.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks again.

Is your need to display the files on all drives -- I think there may have been an issue with external drives in earlier versions -- or to display only image files?

There is a Browser setting View > Filter by > Images if that is any help.

Otherwise, could you please clarify the operation you need...

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

Sorry translation is probably getting in the way.

It as simple as it sounds. :D

:?: -How do you get Xnview/mp to show every image file on a computer on one screen.- :?:

 Back in 2003-ish the program ACDSee would just show all images on your computer, on a single screen (It no longer does). In winXP you could do a search with wildcards (*.*) and multiple file types search separated by commas (,), and it would just show ALL files of that type of file (.jpg, .bmp). And they would have you pick a search area (c:\, or mycomputer, ect..) and display the results of that search for that area and that/those file types. You could sort by size, type even location but EVERY file of that type would be displayed for you to scroll through.

 8) See I misplaced an image file I made over a year ago, I have NO idea where I stuffed it or what I named it. I used to just search (in XP) *.jpg, *.png, *.ico, *.bmp, ect... and scroll until I found it. Unfortunately for me (it seems) all image programs have moved to sorting and tagging, so I can't find a way to do what I'm trying to do.

Xnview/mp are programs I am trying to switch to with Adobe's new business model. If I can make them work they will become part of my new toolbox. I just don't have years sunk into these programs, but I am really hoping they will work the way I need them to!

So, Thank you all again!
Here's hoping Xnview software can perform this task (cheers *clink*)! :? :D
