XnViewMP should have a smart behavior and it should use the same shortcut to apply normal rotation and jpeg lossless rotation according to the source file.
So if a file is a bitmap it should apply a normal rotation but if the image is jpeg it should apply a lossless rotation.

+1 I support (maybe as option is better).

JPEG lossless operation will modify
original file(s), and may remove some
unused pixels (width and height must be
multiple of 8 pixels)!
... Also, you can add into Settings>Interface>Toolbar this item for jpg (browser mode and/or view mode):
JPEG lossless transformations [menu] cmd_losslessM
