XnView 1.80 browser crashing

I was trying to browse My Pictures (winxp sp2, the folder contains various formats, .ai/bmp/psd/fla/gif/jpg/png/tif and thumbs.db).

I've had similar crashes before with 1.74.
Please advice

When viewing the Error log, I can see only small squares, but no characters or text. Must be a special character set. If the error log is not too long, could you please post it?

Not sure how many pictures your folder contains, but there might be one or several picture which cause the problem (sure enough XnView should handle this). Perhaps you can find out which pictures cause the problem by stepwise copying the images into a second folder and browsing that one.
