gif > PI1 crash on Mac

I am having trouble saving a 320x200 gif as a PI1 image on my Mac (El Capitan 10.11.2) from XnViewMP 0.76.1 x64 . When I click save I get a 'XnView quit unexpectedly' error report and the software crashes. I've tried it on two Macs and the same thing happens.

Does this happen for anyone else? Any help anyone can give is appreciated. Thank you.
