RC2: 'remember last window/postion size' doesn'

Post by marsh »

Click associated jpg from ms explorer. Dimensions are not remembered. A small view only cascades down the screen each time you open and close jpg.
Browser dimensions are fixed from RC1, but not viewer.

Why is this in the "Solved" forum? The browser still doesn't remember it's size and position. Only the viewer when you click on an image in the Windows Explorer.

Also: maximizing the browser window will replace the last used window size. So if you restore the window it looks like nothing happened.

So can some MOD move this back to Open please? Thank you.

Confirmed. Maximizing causes problems with remembering dimensions.

I think this is not xnview bug, but windows bug since I had this bug also in other programs.

I think that he means maximizing MDI browser window.

Edit:
In RC6 when the 'Use different position/size for rowser & view' is on and you have minimized browser tab and after viewing picture when you maximize browser the position/size don't change, but in the test build it worked like it should work.

Yes. It will not switch back to whatever window size you had before maximizing it. No, this is no windows problem.

Yes if you restart xnview after maximizing it, the old state is not saved. Open issue....

In RC7 it will not keep the window the same size as maximized but revert back to some default size.

Also in v.1.80.1, when the size of viewer is small enough, 'Use different position/size for browser & view' temporarily stops working and browser matches size and position of the viewer.
This problem cripples any view options which require it. "Fit image to window", etc.
