The default monitor profile rendering intent should be Relative Colorimetric. Using anything else could lead to wrong colors unexpectedly. The "unexpectedly" part is the keyword here. If the monitor profile contains no perceptual gamut mapping, you won't see a difference, but if it does, then for typical image viewing relative colorimetric is what you really want.
In 0.78 the default rendering intent is Perceptual.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.79 or later. Could you please try and confirm the bug fix, Biscuit?
