Hi there.. just upgraded to XnViewMP from regular XnView..

Some of my .tif faxes that have come in. when i try to open ... says CAN"T OPEN FILE..

Thoughts?

Do you have an example file you can upload, or is that difficult? I can't immediately think why a file that opens in XnView Classic wouldn't open in XnView MP with the default settings...

Have you checked that those files *will* actually open in XnView Classic?

here is one that shows a thumbnail and opens in classic, but not in MP

Your TIFF file only opens in XnView Classic if Tools > Options... > Read/Write -- General tab > Ignore read errors is selected.

The equivalent setting in XnView MP is Viewer | File > Format settings... > Read tab - Ignore read errors -- if that option is checked the file opens normally. :D

So it looks as if the file is probably slightly malformed...
