Maybe someone can help.
I own a pretty big e-book collection. I enjoy very much just to browse through the covers via the thumbnail modus. I was very happy to discover, that XnView MP is capable to customize the size of the thumbs to my likings (windows just can display 256x256 pix which is to small for my taste). Also XnView does reads automatically all files in an folder. All that is great for me!
But now my problem:
Is it possible to save the thumbs of an folder (or even better of every single folder) so that if i restart XnView MP or just reopen the folder XnView MP doesn`t have to capture the thumbs anew?
Help is very much appreciated

by default XnView store thumbnails of folders/files, the thumbnail is always rebuilt?

Re: possible to save thumpnails of an folder?
thanks for your reply and for the superb program Pierre,
to your question: It seemed so.
I`ve just tried the following. I`ve used a portable instalation of XnView MP where I set up that the thump.db and the XnView.db to be stored in the portable-exe folder. There I`ve found an big thump.db (4GB in my case) after reading in my e-book folder. That thump.db wasn`t deleted after closing the prog/folder, but as I`ve reopened the program XnView MP starts reading in the folder anew.
What I`had hoped for was that I could display the thumps of that folder even after detaching the HD with the e-book folder, just from the thump.db.

Re: possible to save thumpnails of an folder?
I have reinstalled the standart 64bit version and XnView MP still re-reads any folder after re-opening it. Although as I`ve memtioned the thum.db doesn`t get deleted after closing the program.
Is there a way to open the thumps.db and display the thumps even with the drive detached? So I could use XnView like kind of an catalog software, which I really would enjoy.
