Hi,
I encountered two slightly annoying things (well, only one is annoying, actually).
1. The viewer no longer shows the size in the status bar. (dimensions and file size). I really really miss this! How do I switch it back on?
2. Double clicking on the file name right next to file x / from y files somehow resets the counter. Example: I have three files in a directory: a.docx, b.jpg, and c.py. Clicking on the jpg opens the viewer. In the status bar it says: 2/3. Double clicking on "b.jpg" right next to 2/3 results in changing the counter to 1/1. (Instead of double clicking the file name, switching to browser and back also changes 2/3 to 1/1.)
Regards

For 1. - you'll see this fix in next version http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=32685 (probably)
For 2. - maybe the actions you perform somehow mess with the filtering mode of XnViewMP. 2/3 means Viewer shows 2nd of three files in directory and these numbers are inherited from Browser which was showing all files in directory. Perhaps after you click .jpg filename filtering mode changes to file types which Viewer can load and b.jpg is the one and only picture in folder? Is XnViewMP capable of displaying MS Word documents and Python code text? I'm not sure about that one, but XnViewMP is full of easter eggs.

I'm sorry, I didn't know it was already reported.Mixer wrote:For 1. - you'll see this fix in next version http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=32685 (probably)
It is not that unusual to open an image, I hope.Mixer wrote:For 2. - maybe the actions you perform somehow mess with the filtering mode of XnViewMP.
Thank you, but I know that.Mixer wrote:2/3 means Viewer shows 2nd of three files in directory
Nope. The browser only shows the jpg, since everything else is disabled.Mixer wrote:and these numbers are inherited from Browser which was showing all files in directory.
This would make no sense. Switching to browser and back also "changes the filter", with no means to change it to its former behavior. I think the filter should have been applied the moment the picture was loaded. Hence the bug report.Mixer wrote:Perhaps after you click .jpg filename filtering mode changes to file types which Viewer can load and b.jpg is the one and only picture in folder?
I do hope not. I've disabled everything but pictures.Mixer wrote:Is XnViewMP capable of displaying MS Word documents and Python code text?

I have just discovered MP can display text files! Won't let you edit them though.dergilbwillspam wrote:I do hope not. I've disabled everything but pictures.Mixer wrote:Is XnViewMP capable of displaying MS Word documents and Python code text?
