Dealing with categories from files/folders which were moved

Post by cadu »

Hi,

As the screenshot shows (http://i.imgur.com/xjcPUtE.png), I have several categories which lists empty thumbnails. When I check file/thumbnail properties, XnView shows a warning "Windows can not find...".

The motive is that once the files were categorized, but I changed the folder structure and it seems XnView can't read the source anymore. So, I would appreciative clarification to:

a) Supposing I delete or move folders and I don't want their thumbnails appearing in categories anymore. Actually, I would like XnView to batch remove from categories all thumbnails which files doesn't exist anymore in XnView database. Is it possible?

b) Considering an opposed scenario, where thumbnails are categorized, but I realized they became "orphans" since folder structure was changed. Is it possible to point XnView to new folder structure in order it update the database, finding/attaching the files to original/same categories again?

Thanks for assistance,
Cadux
