reserved "Links" directory name

Post by davcheze »

Dear all,
my config : WIN7 64-bits, XnviewMP 64 bits french language setting.
I encountered reproducible issue while trying to access directories names (located on network file server) listed in my reserved C:\users\myusername\Links directory from XnViewMP file browser : when clicking on the link name listed in tree
as C:\
users
myusername
Liens
mesnomsderépertoiresserveur
it freezes XnviewMP that is crashing in the end.
Second strange issue :
when I open windows file explorer there isn't anything listed in the "Favoris" tree view from windows explorer where I had previously all the listed server directories. However when I look with windows file explorer in C:\users\myusername\Links there is still all the listed links, but it isn't displayed anymore in the tree view...
I was suspecting issue with former DOS name or translation then if I open command console and ask for dir list in my user directory C:\users\myusername>dir I saw that it has renamed the Links directory into Liens (french) . Hopefully to revover all my listed directories I just needed to rename (move DOS command) Liens into Links and everything appears again in Favoris as before the crash.
I hope you'll be able to correct this annoying behavior.

Thank you for the whole work
