How to delete "added text" in the photo

I just succeed to add text in the bottom of a photo...Fantastic! But, how to delete/remove this text, in the case it is desired to change the text position.

I just succeed to add text in the bottom of a photo...Fantastic! But, how to delete/remove this text, in the case it is desired to change the text position.

As text added with XnView software is 'burned' into the image there is no way to edit or delete it as, for example, in Adobe software where text is placed on a separate layer...

If text is placed below the image on extended canvas (Image > Canvas size...) then it could be removed by cropping the image, otherwise there is no generally satisfactory solution. Some possible workarounds that might sometimes be useful were discussed in an earlier thread somewhere. Always retain the original files if they might ever be needed...
