Slideshow resume

Post by JohnS »

Hi, I've been an IrFanView user, but was trying out XnView 1.80 RC1 a week or two back and really liked it. I'd switch, only I can't seem to find a way of resuming a slide show.

You see, I have my photos in subfolders, one per day, and there are hundreds of folders. I need to be able to slideshow through the whole lot but in sessions - some tonight, some tomorrow night, etc.

IrFanView has a 'Start Image' field, but I can't seem to find any way to do this in XnView. IrFanView also remembers the slideshow list from session to session. It would be good if XnView would remember both the slideshow list and the position, and provide the means to change the position.

Another solution that would suit my needs even better would be to just start viewing images, with recursion from any folder from the right click menu, and have the option to continue with sibling folders after the one you started in, in alphabetical order.

Anyway, pretty neat software. I look forward to any replies/solutions.

Currently not possible, but perhaps a good enhancement...

Some time ago I've received a support request asking for a Resume function. When presenting and stopping the slide show, there should be an easy way (option?) to resume it at the image previously shown (not the first image).
