How to copy a picture to the clipboard in XnView for Windows

Post by JTXnView »

I encounter the following situation when using XnView for Windows 2.36.

The product documentation states that XnView can "copy complete pictures or just parts of them to and from the Clipboard." Although I find plentiful information about how to import an image that is stored on the Clipboard, I find nothing about how to copy an image to the clipboard.

Are there really methods to do this, or was there an error in the documentation?

The standard Windows Ctrl-A selects the whole image and Ctrl-C then copies the selection to the clipboard, or you can select part of an image and use Ctrl-C to copy that...

Thanks very much.

Since there's no listing for "copy" presented in the context menu when right-clicking an image, I just assumed the function wasn't implemented, and didn't even think about the keyboard shortcuts.

There's also Copy image data (Ctrl+Shift+C) In the browser's context menu.
