Left-right scrolling

I am a very satisfied user of xnview for many years. I just found out that MP can save sessions of open tabs and since this is a feature I always wanted, I decided to try it. I find it really good, but there is one very important problem that I didn't manage to solve so I wonder if anyone might know. When I try to scroll left and right on a large image with the scroll button of the mouse, the image is moving just a bit and I have to push the button many times for the picture to move all the way to the other end. This is really slow and not at all what I was used to do with xnview, where the movement of the picture is fast and continuous, just like with the up and down scrolling. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I didn't discover?

Pending request: Please offer XnView's 'ScrollVal' option in XnViewMP, too

If you haven't already done so, you might want to give the pan tool (Tools » Settings… » View » View) a try as a workaround.
