[Solved] XnView will not open at all on Ubuntu

I've reinstalled XnView on two systems now, trying with the current .deb installer for MP freshly downloaded, on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Won't open on either, no matter what I do. Not from file or shortcut. Suggestions?

Thank you! That did it, Synaptic worked, must have been dependencies...
