Displaying all images of a specific Category / Rating

Hi,
it is true that the display of categories is meant to work only within the same directory?
I mean, I assigned the same category to pictures in different folders.
When I click on the category name and I'm in a folder containing no of the categorized pictures, the display stays empty. When I move to one of the folders containing categorized pictures, it shows only the pictures relating to the selected category.

No my question is: is it possible to get it work even cross-folder? I mean, when I select a category the program should show all pictures assigned to that category even if in different folders. Is that possible?

Yes, you can view a category and all its images. Marc.
1. You have to switch from folder panel to categories panel ("View > Tree pane > Categories").
2. The category/rating tree is displayed. Check a category in the category/rating tree to see all the pictures belonging to this category.
