0.84b2: Draw tool: Toolbar and buttons at top

Post by helmut »

0.84 beta 2

In the new Draw tool of XnView MP 0.84 beta 2, the toolbar and buttons are located at the bottom of the dialog; while in XnView Classic the toolbar and buttons are located at the top of the dialog.

I suggest to move the toolbar and buttons to the top of the dialog.

I don't quite understand why you prefer the toolbar at the bottom of the draw tool, but O.k.. Please move the toolbar in XnView Classic also to the bottom to keep user interfaces of XnView MP and XnView Classic (more or less) consistent.

A vertical toolbar down the left side could be my preference for a fixed position...

But the ideal might be a floating toolbar that can be positioned at will [as in another popular freeware software] if that is technically possible??

Only a vertical toolbar isn't possible due to the space that is needed for the parameters. And using a vertical toolbar plus horizontal parameters would use up even more of the valuable screen estate.
