Catalog constantly adding the same paths twice

I am in the process of sorting my photos, but repeatedly now, I've gone through a big batch of them, and then I'll see duplicates in my categories. Then I will look in settings/catalog and the directories I've been copying to are listed twice. The number of files and the mb are the same on both lines.

If I delete one, I will lose a bunch of categorization in my filter tree. If I rebuild the catalog from files, they will come back -- but the duplicate lines and duplicate entries will also come back.

very strange, is it possible to have the database? on windows?

It happens for me too. See specs in sig.

A „patch” would be to put an UNIQUE constraint in DB with ON ERROR IGNORE on CategoryID and ImageID (IIRC).
The best would be to find the cause. In my case, usually I use the shortcuts to assign the categories, if this matters.
