Hello:
Did not know where to put this since it happens in both, 0.81 and the latest beta, 0.82.Beta-5. It's still a regress form later versions.
Seems that Zoom Select (Show Grid) Always defaults back to... "ON" after every restart. (Fullscreen) and (View Mode).
Really its even hard to keep it off during a session, because you have to use crop first, to turn it off.
Thanks

Re: Zoom Select: (Show Grid) is Always On.
Hi:
I mean selection grid..
In Crop mode, The white grid always defaults back to "On". v0.79 & older, When you turned it off, it stayed off.
It was the 2nd bug in this post that got mixed up: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... 41#p133691.
You fixed 1.)
I should have made a New post, but forgot..
Thanks

Re: 0.81: Zoom Select: (Show Grid) is Always On.
I can confirm the problem in v0.84.
In this remaining bug we talk about the selection grid - not to be confused with the normal grid: When selecting an area of an image the selection has a white grid which indicates the golden ratio (=selection grid). When in Crop mode and disabling the selection grid, the selection grid will show up in the next XnView session, again.
To reproduce:
1. Start XnView and open an image in XnView
2. Select Edit » Crop.... XnView will switch to crop mode
3. Select an area. You will see the selection grid.
4. Deactivate the selection grid using the appropriate button in the crop toolbar. The selection grid is hidden.
4. Exit crop mode by pressing "Cancel"
5. Exit XnView
6. Start XnView and open an image in XnView
7. Select Edit » Crop.... XnView will switch to crop mode
8. Select an area.
The selection grid is shown, again.
Expected result: The selection grid is NOT shown. (The selection grid has been hidden in the last session and this state should be saved and restored in later sessions.)

O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 958 is fixed in next version.
